Come and join Selangor Branch Bird Group for the first bird watching trip of 2020 at Bukit Rengit in Lanchang, Pahang. A well-known site to seasoned birdwatchers, one can find lowland species such as Malkohas, Bulbuls, Barbets, Babblers and if luck is on our side, Trogons too! The journey from KL takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Take the Karak Highway towards Kuantan and exit at Lanchang. We appreciate your punctuality as we will carpool from the meeting point (approx. 15 minutes) to reach the site due to limited parking spaces. If you wish to drive to the site, kindly refrain from parking at the Deerland Park’s carpark but you may park along the road.

We may be birding in one of the off-road trails; therefore, it is advisable to dress in long sleeves shirts and pants, preferably in dull-coloured clothing, hat and comfortable shoes. Please bring along binoculars, drinking water, light snacks, sun block, umbrella and mosquito repellent. There are limited binoculars for loan; please indicate if you wish to borrow them. The event shall end at noon.

This activity is open to MNS members. Non-members are required to contribute RM5.00 per adult. Pre-registration is compulsory. Kindly inform us if you need a ride or can offer a ride. For further details, please text Mr. Low Kok Hen at 012-3807775 or Ms. Veronica Khoo at 016-4775737
