Birdwatching Trip to Awana Bio Park, Genting Highlands, 24th August 2019

SBBG is having a day trip to Awana Bio Park, Genting Highlands. This location is listed as an IBA (Important Bird Area MY10) by BirdLife International. Come and join us for the inaugural trip organised to this site!

Awana Bio Park asl 3000 ft, is a sub-montane rainforest with a variety of feathered friends waiting to be admired. Among them, Hornbills, Trogons, Flycatchers, Bulbuls, Barbets, Leafbirds.... Help us add on the list of birds seen after the trip ☺ We will be meeting at Gohtong Jaya at 7.00 am sharp and thereafter convoy to the site (2 + kilometre away).

The event is suitable for both children and the young at heart. Wear comfortable shoes, dullcoloured long sleeves shirt, pants & hat. Please bring along binoculars, drinking water, light snacks, sun block, poncho, insect repellent and a field guide if you have one. We strongly encourage you to have a pen and notebook to record the birds seen. The event shall end at noon.
