Come join the Selangor Branch Bird Group for a half day trip to a lowland forest just outside of Kuala Lumpur – Sungai Perdik, located in the forest reserve of Hulu Langat. This trip is extra special as we will be birdwatching on the Global Big Day (Birding’s biggest day), organised by The Cornell Lab. Sightings will be submitted to eBird: Let’s help add on to the number of species seen on this bird-day!

Some of the species that can be found here are Broadbills, Barbets, Woodpeckers, Spiderhunters, Flowepeckers, Malkohas, etc... The journey from KL takes approximately 90 minutes to the meeting point. We appreciate your punctuality as it will take another 30 minutes to reach the site from the meeting point.

Come dressed in dull-coloured long-sleeves clothing and hat as well as comfortable shoes. The event is suitable for all ages as it is a leisure walk to enjoy the birds. Please bring along binoculars, drinking water, light snacks, sun block, umbrella and mosquito repellent. The event shall end at noon.

This activity is open to MNS members. Non-members are required to contribute RM5.00 per adult. Pre-registration is highly recommended. For further details, please text Mr. Low Kok Hen at 012-3807775 or Ms. Veronica Khoo at 016-4775737.
