Hokkaido in peak winter offers some spectacular concentrations of wildlife that are rare and endangered. For seven days in early February 2018, Syafiq, Thomas and their bird guide Take-san concentrated on the eastern region of Hokkaido to find and photograph birds that have become icons of Japan's avifauna.
